New single-family home sales fall to weakest year-to-date pace since 2017
In June, new single-family sales totaled 628,000 on a seasonally adjusted annual rate, with the median price dropping 2.7% year over year to $398,300.
Zillow Research said new single-family home sales nationwide fell to their weakest year-to-date pace since 2017, based on recently released U.S. Census Bureau data.
In June, sales were 628,000 on a seasonally adjusted annual rate, up 1.6% from the revised May rate of 618,000.
Zillow Research reported that sales of newly built homes were 5.6% below the June 2025 estimate.
The median price of new houses sold was $398,300, down 2.7% from a year ago.
