NVIDIA partners with Cloverleaf to expand U.S. AI data center infrastructure

Cloverleaf, founded in 2024 and backed by a first-year $300 million raise, says the NVIDIA partnership will support customers and utility partners facing rising demand for accelerated computing.

NVIDIA has entered a strategic partnership with Cloverleaf Infrastructure to advance the development of digital infrastructure for AI data centers across the United States, according to the Yahoo Finance report.

The report says NVIDIA will take a minority stake in Cloverleaf. Cloverleaf, founded in 2024, raised $300 million in its first year and acts as a middleman connecting utility companies and data centers as AI operators look to secure reliable electricity supply.

Yahoo Finance also notes that NVIDIA has been taking a bigger role in financing and developing data centers that then buy its AI systems. Earlier in August, NVIDIA announced it would invest $1.5 billion into SB Energy to support the PORTS-Pike campus, an OpenAI-linked 10-GW data center project in Pike County, Ohio.

Cloverleaf said the NVIDIA investment will help it support customers and utility partners to meet increasing demand for accelerated computing. NVIDIA is also scheduled to appear at the Experience POWER conference in Washington, D.C., Sept. 28 to 30, 2026, with additional data center-focused events on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
