Alacrity Solutions promotes Lee Boyd to chief operating officer
Boyd is taking oversight of operational strategy for claims and business functions, after leading Alacrity's AI-enabled claims tools and its approved Lloyd's delegated claims work.
Alacrity Solutions has promoted Lee Boyd to chief operating officer, expanding his role to oversee operational strategy across the company's claims and business functions. The insurer said Boyd will work with its executive leadership to drive efficiency, scale technology initiatives, and support longer-term strategic priorities, with oversight spanning more than claims operations specifically.
Insurance Business reports that Boyd joined Alacrity in 2021 as vice president of TPA operations and later became president of claims operations. In that role, he led the Alacrity Intelligence Initiative, a companywide effort to embed AI-enabled tools into claims workflows, aimed at helping claims teams manage growing complexity and scrutiny without adding headcount.
Alacrity said the Alacrity Intelligence Initiative was publicly unveiled in March 2026 around the PLRB Claims Conference, introducing Alacrity Intelligence as an AI-enabled operational layer connecting claims data, workflows, and adjuster expertise. The goal described at the time was to help carriers manage claims volume more consistently by identifying patterns earlier, with a focus on producing more predictable outcomes during catastrophe surge events.
The promotion also comes as Boyd was the public face of Alacrity's expansion into the Lloyd's market earlier this year, when the firm became an approved Lloyd's delegated claims administrator. Insurance Business said that delegated authority allows Alacrity to handle US property, auto, casualty, catastrophe, and specialty claims for Lloyd's insurers and managing agents.
