Branch Insurance Exchange ends first half with higher written premiums

Written premiums totaled $42.2 million for the first half of 2026, up 8.6% year over year, while the reciprocal posted a $14.0 million net underwriting loss.

Branch Insurance Exchange, the reciprocal managed by insurance startup Branch, released its Q2 2026 results, covering the first half of the year.

For the first six months of 2026, the reciprocal ended with $42.2 million in written premiums, an 8.6% increase compared with the same period in 2025.

Branch Insurance Exchange reported a net underwriting loss of $15.3 million for the first six months, about $1.0 million more than in the first half of 2025.

On the reciprocal level, it posted a net underwriting loss of $14.0 million for the first six months, according to Coverager.
