Tesco Ireland signs three-year €45m Freshways supply deal
The agreement is expected to support Freshways' Finglas operations, after the supplier invested €8m in a production site and created 20 jobs.
Tesco Ireland has signed a three-year, €45m agreement with Freshways to supply sandwiches, wraps, salads and pasta dishes for its meal deal range, the company said.
The deal extends a supplier relationship that has spanned more than two decades. Freshways, headquartered in Finglas, Dublin, supplies more than 40 product lines for Tesco Ireland under its Crust & Co brand.
Freshways previously invested €8m into its Finglas production site, adding high-care manufacturing space, increasing storage capacity, and upgrading refrigeration systems. The new contract has created 20 jobs at the facility, according to the statement.
Tesco Ireland said the deal reflects its long term commitment to Irish suppliers and domestic sourcing partnerships. In results for the quarter ended May 30, 2026, Tesco reported group sales of £16.82bn, up 1% on a like-for-like basis, with growth across the UK, Ireland and Central Europe, including UK and Ireland sales of £13.43bn.
