Trump threatens economic penalties on countries doing business with Iran
President Trump has threatened economic penalties targeting countries that do business with Iran, as he seeks to increase pressure on Tehran to negotiate an end to the war, according to The New York Times.
The plan is aimed at expanding economic pressure beyond Iran itself by raising the costs for third countries tied to Iran’s economy.
