Heffernan’s 2026 internship program ends with leadership showcase and scholarships
The eight-week program included projects on AI adoption and process improvement, and two interns were named Council Foundation Scholarship recipients.
Heffernan Insurance Brokers wrapped up its 2026 summer internship program, an eight-week initiative that placed college students across the firm’s departments to work on projects tied to real business challenges.
According to Insurance Business, interns worked alongside industry professionals on efforts that included artificial intelligence adoption, process improvement and workflow optimization. The program concluded with a final showcase where interns presented project recommendations directly to Heffernan leadership.
Two interns, Charli Brady and Jacob Banducci, were named recipients of The Council Foundation Scholarship, a national award administered by The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers that recognizes interns for academic achievement, leadership and commitment to the insurance industry.
Insurance Business also noted that since 2017, the scholarship program has awarded nearly $4.4 million to more than 800 interns across member firms, and that Heffernan’s internship approach has expanded steadily, including growing its class to 30 students by at least 2024.
