Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Hospital adds 24-hour inpatient care in December
The hospital will open 24-hour inpatient services on December 11, with 93 inpatient beds and a subsidised all-in package price of HK$980 per day.
Hong Kong’s Chinese Medicine Hospital will begin offering 24-hour inpatient services in December, expanding the city’s first dedicated traditional Chinese medicine hospital into round-the-clock care, according to SCMP Economy.
The service is scheduled to start on December 11. The hospital will provide 93 inpatient beds, including 60 government subsidised beds and 33 non subsidised beds, along with additional beds tied to its clinical trial and research centre and high-dependency care.
SCMP Economy reports the subsidised inpatient option will cost HK$980 (US$125) per day. The fixed package price is designed to cover treatment-related services such as room fees, visits by registered practitioners, Chinese medicine interventions, tests, and medication.
The hospital opened last December in Tseung Kwan O and aims to treat more complex cases using Chinese medicine as the primary approach, integrated with Western medicine, SCMP Economy said.
