Proptech draws most $5M to $10M seed rounds in 2026 amid AI push
In the first half of 2026, proptech reported 30 seed deals in the $5 million to $10 million range totaling $207.3 million, with overall funding of $4.53 billion across 231 disclosed rounds.
Proptech companies have attracted the largest number of $5 million to $10 million seed rounds in 2026, according to data cited by Commercial Observer, with artificial intelligence playing a major role in those deals.
Commercial Observer, citing Crunchbase, pointed to proptech startups in this seed range including Breezy, an AI operating system for residential real estate professionals, Grotto AI, which offers AI tools for leasing and renewals, and Hint, an AI-powered home-management platform. Crunchbase did not provide an overall total number of deals in the category, but the outlet said there have been at least 15 proptech seed rounds in the $5 million to $10 million scale so far this year.
The report also drew on a Center for Real Estate Technology and Innovation analysis. CRETI found 30 deals in the $5 million to $10 million range in the first half of 2026, totaling $207.3 million and representing 4.6 percent of all funding across rounds. It also reported that overall proptech venture funding reached $4.53 billion across 231 disclosed funding rounds in the first half of 2026, with a median round of $6.75 million.
Commercial Observer added that, compared with the prior year, first-half 2026 funding was broadly stable, down 0.6 percent from the first half of 2025 and up 2.6 percent from the first half of 2024. The outlet also cited Seedtable estimates that the typical seed round across industries is $2 million, rising to $9 million at Series A and $20 million at Series B, and included comments from 100 CEO Caren Maio that AI is making it faster and less expensive to build new technology, helping new solutions reach credibility sooner.
