PVR Inox board to consider first-ever buyback on Aug 31, 2026

The proposed buyback would mark the company’s first share repurchase in nearly six years, with the trading window closed from Aug 25 to Sept 2 for designated insiders.

PVR INOX Limited said its board will consider and approve a share buyback proposal at an upcoming meeting scheduled for Aug 31, 2026, after nearly six years without such an action, according to LiveMint Markets.

The company also indicated the board is expected to declare a record date for the buyback if the proposal is approved, and it will communicate the meeting outcome to stock exchanges after the session concludes, in line with SEBI listing rules.

Ahead of the decision, PVR INOX said the trading window for designated persons and their immediate relatives will remain closed from Aug 25, 2026 through Sept 2, 2026 inclusive, citing the SEBI Prohibition of Insider Trading Regulations, 2015.

LiveMint Markets also noted that PVR INOX shares have traded at a face value of ₹10 each, and the stock rose as much as 5.52% to ₹1,047.85 on the BSE as the market digested the corporate action timeline, with the company reporting a swing to profits in Q1FY27.
