Samudhra signs 10,000 sq ft lease at The Ellery in Hell’s Kitchen
The Ellery space is the Indian restaurant’s second U.S. location, following its Franklin Park, New Jersey opening.
New Jersey-based Indian restaurant Samudhra has signed a 10,000-square-foot ground-floor lease at The Ellery, 312 West 43rd Street, expanding across the Hudson into Hell’s Kitchen, according to Commercial Observer.
The property is owned by Taconic Partners and National Real Estate Advisors. Taconic did not disclose the asking rent or the lease length, but CBRE data cited in the story put asking rent for prime retail in the nearby Times Square corridor at $1,400 per square foot in the second quarter of 2026.
The landlords said the deal supports the retail and dining mix at the mixed-use property. Taconic senior vice president George Tsapelas said Samudhra will add a premium dining and social experience for residents and the broader neighborhood.
Commercial Observer also notes the lease announcement comes about a year after German grocery chain Aldi signed a 25,000-square-foot ground-floor lease at The Ellery in late August 2025 as part of its U.S. rollout. CBRE negotiated for the landlord, while Lee & Associates handled the tenant side.
