Loft Federal opens 60,000 SF Arvada facility and plans new hires

The space cost more than $10M and is intended for secure development and classified-program autonomy testing.

Loft Federal, a subsidiary of San Francisco-based Loft Orbital, opened a 60,000-square-foot facility at Candelas Innovation Park in Arvada, Colorado, according to Bisnow.

The company said the new space will be used to develop, integrate, test, and demonstrate mission payload concepts and software capabilities, and to collaborate with partners and government customers, including for expanded autonomy testing, mission planning, and infrastructure supporting classified programs.

Loft Federal expects the Arvada location to support 100 new employees, with hiring planned over the next 12 months, while it will keep its 30,000-square-foot integration and testing center in Golden, Bisnow reported.

Bisnow also noted that Loft Federal is leasing about 72% of the park’s first building, with a second 100,000-square-foot building currently vacant, and that the Arvada facility followed more than $10M in spending by the company.
