Sompo Asia Pacific names Winnie Chau senior underwriter for Financial Lines
The appointment covers Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, and Chau will work on expanding the Financial Lines portfolio and underwriting capabilities.
Sompo Asia Pacific, part of global insurance and reinsurance group Sompo, has appointed Winnie Chau as Senior Underwriter for Financial Lines.
In the new role, Chau will be based in Hong Kong and responsible for underwriting activities across Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
She brings more than 14 years of underwriting experience in Financial Lines, including cyber and professional indemnity, and has handled complex multinational risks.
According to Reinsurance News, her responsibilities include expanding the portfolio, developing underwriting capabilities, and partnering with brokers and clients to provide solutions aligned with their needs, reinforcing Sompo Asia Pacific’s Financial Lines team as it builds its offering across the three markets.
