Women in Agribusiness names 13 inaugural WIA Leadership Award winners
The winners will be recognized at an awards presentation on Sept. 24 during the 2026 Women in Agribusiness Summit in New Orleans.
Women in Agribusiness (WIA) has announced the 13 winners of its inaugural WIA Leadership Awards, a new program recognizing influential women for their contributions to the future of the food and agriculture sector, according to World Grain.
World Grain reports that the awards are the only independently judged, discipline-specific recognitions in agriculture under the broader WIA awards platform that also includes the Demeter Award of Excellence, WIA’s top honor since 2013.
The selection process was guided by an independent judging panel that evaluated nominations across defined criteria for six categories, using factors such as quantifiable outcomes, recent achievements, and impact beyond nominees’ immediate organizations.
WIA said the winners will be formally recognized at an awards presentation on Sept. 24 during the 2026 Women in Agribusiness Summit in New Orleans, Louisiana.
