Doral Marketplace Whole Foods retail center sells for $83M
The buyer, led by Jonathan Perlman, assumed $50.1 million of existing debt tied to the Bank of Texas.
A Whole Foods-anchored retail center in Doral, known as Doral Marketplace, has sold for $83 million, according to ConnectCRE. The property was recently completed and sold by SJC Ventures.
ConnectCRE says the buyer was a group led by Jonathan Perlman, whose background includes running senior living and memory care facilities. Perlman’s group assumed $50.1 million of existing debt assigned to the Bank of Texas as part of the transaction.
The shopping center totals 88,938 square feet, and the reported sales price works out to just under $1,000 per square foot. SJC Ventures broke ground on the 10-acre site in 2024 and completed the development recently.
ConnectCRE also reports that the deal did not include a 1.88-acre portion leased to Chick-fil-A. The Whole Foods opened earlier this summer, and other tenants named include J. Crew, Shake Shack, First Watch, GoodVets, The Spot Barbershop, Encore Nails, Vio MedSpa, and Apizza Brooklyn Resto + Vino.
