Lemonade expands car insurance into Florida

The new Lemonade Car offering now covers nearly 50% of the U.S. auto insurance market, and includes a 50% discount for Tesla owners based on mileage driven using Full Self-Driving technology.

Lemonade has launched its car insurance product in Florida, the company said, making the state its 11th where the coverage is available since it was introduced nearly five years ago. The expansion brings Lemonade Car to states that represent nearly 50% of the U.S. car insurance market, Coverager reports.

The company described Florida as a large and fast-growing personal auto market with millions of working-age, digital-native drivers in major metros including Miami, Tampa, Orlando, and Jacksonville. Lemonade said those customers are the target for a digital-first experience focused on speed and pricing it says is based on how people drive, including discounts for EVs.

Lemonade Car also said it offers Tesla owners 50% off every mile driven using Tesla’s Full Self-Driving technology. Separately, the company filed to introduce pet insurance in Idaho, with an effective date of November 18, 2026, according to Coverager.
