Scoular leases rail-served Kansas grain facilities to Scott Cooperative

The lease takes effect Sept. 1 and is intended to expand Scott Cooperative’s access to north Kansas and domestic and export markets.

Scoular will lease three rail-served Kansas grain handling facilities to Scott Cooperative Association, with the agreement effective Sept. 1, according to World Grain.

The facilities are located in Oakley, Monument, and Winona, and are expected to help Scott Cooperative expand its network to the north while improving access to domestic and export markets. Financial terms of the lease, announced Aug. 25, were not disclosed.

Scott Cooperative is a farmer-owned agricultural cooperative headquartered in Scott City, Kansas, serving farmers across western Kansas, including eight elevators. Scoular, based in Omaha, Nebraska, described the move as strengthening its partnership with Scott Cooperative, with Scoular’s Grain Division pointing to local leadership and employee support in rural Kansas.
