Biohub and Fundraise Up lease space at 100-104 Fifth Avenue
Biohub will take 10,666 square feet on the ninth floor, while Fundraise Up signs for 9,522 square feet on the entire seventh floor, bringing the buildings to full occupancy.
Two nonprofit-related tenants are relocating to an office tower one block west of Union Square, with Commercial Observer reporting that the Chan Zuckerberg Biohub secured space at Sovereign Partners’ 100-104 Fifth Avenue. Biohub will occupy the entire ninth floor, taking 10,666 square feet at the 20-story building at the southwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 15th Street, according to sources cited by Commercial Observer. The nonprofit biomedical research organization was founded in 2016 by Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan, and it previously maintained an office and research laboratory at Columbia University’s Studebaker Building. Commercial Observer also reported that Fundraise Up, a nonprofit fundraising platform, signed its own lease at the same address, taking 9,522 square feet across the entire seventh floor. The company is relocating from 219 36th Street in Brooklyn’s Industry City complex. The outlet said lease terms were not disclosed, but it cited asking rents in the building range of $110 to $150 per square foot. With both leases, 100-104 Fifth Avenue is now at 100 percent capacity, and other tenants include fintech firm Accrue Savings and investment firm Battery Ventures.
