Anthropic and Nscale near $45 billion cloud deal for West Virginia capacity

CNBC Markets reports that Anthropic is in talks to strike a major cloud deal with data center developer Nscale, a transaction valued at about $45 billion, according to sources.

The companies are reportedly planning for Anthropic to rent compute capacity at an Nscale development in West Virginia, with the arrangement covering around 460 megawatts of capacity.

CNBC World cited similar details, also pointing to the same West Virginia project and the approximate 460 megawatts figure, based on sources.
