CCNR climbs 27.7% YTD as natural resource stocks draw inflows
The ALPS CoreCommodity Natural Resources ETF, CCNR, added $3.79 million in net flows over five days as gold hovered near multi month highs, copper tested record levels, and oil pulled back from a geopolitical spike.
ETF Trends reports that the ALPS CoreCommodity Natural Resources ETF (CCNR) is up 27.71% year to date as of August 25, supported by tailwinds across the natural resource complex.
The outlet said CCNR attracted $3.79 million in net flows over five days, with performance coming even as the commodity market has become more fragmented, including gold near multi month highs, copper testing record levels, and oil retreating from a geopolitically driven spike.
Unlike a traditional commodity ETF tied to futures, CCNR is actively managed and invests in companies involved in producing and processing natural resources, giving investors equity exposure to the businesses behind commodity markets, ETF Trends said.
The fund’s reported positioning includes allocations to materials and energy, with materials at 43.30% of the portfolio, metals and mining at 31.54%, and energy at 34.97%, while holdings cited include Boliden, Lundin Mining, Hudbay Minerals, Liberty Energy, Murphy Oil, and Southern Copper Corporation, according to ETF Trends.
