Decrypt reports that multiple long-dormant Bitcoin wallets moved coins after staying inactive through Bitcoin's major boom cycle.

According to the outlet, six wallets that had slept for over a decade woke up between Aug. 16 and Aug. 26, and collectively moved tens of millions of dollars in BTC.

The activity amounts to roughly $40M in value moved over a one-week span, as tracked by the transfers during the August window.

The report frames the transactions as a sharp example of older Bitcoin holdings reentering circulation after a long period of dormancy.
