Bridgehaven signs underwriting partnership with Amiga Specialty

Bridgehaven Specialty UK Limited has entered into a new strategic underwriting partnership with Amiga Specialty Limited to provide long-term underwriting capacity, a move aimed at supporting the continued growth of Amiga’s underwriting platform, Reinsurance News reports.

The arrangement combines Bridgehaven’s capacity, governance, and delegated underwriting expertise with Amiga’s specialist underwriting talent, technology-driven operating model, and growth strategy. Bridgehaven said it focuses on backing underwriting businesses that pair technical excellence with strong governance and entrepreneurial ambition.

Amiga initially plans to focus on selected financial lines, and the partnership is expected to expand into additional lines of business over time. Bridgehaven’s chief underwriting officer said the decision followed an assessment of Amiga’s leadership, underwriting capability, governance framework, and strategic growth plans.

Amiga’s CEO said finding the right capacity partner is important for building the company long term, adding that Bridgehaven understands where Amiga wants to take the business and how it plans to develop new products and capabilities together.
