Corgi completes $40.7 million securities offering

The San Francisco-based AI insurance platform raised the full $40.7 million from 11 investors, with the first sale on July 9.

Corgi, an AI-focused insurance platform for startups and other commercial businesses, has completed a $40.7 million securities offering, according to a regulatory filing reviewed by Coverager.

The company said it raised the full amount from 11 investors, with the first sale taking place on July 9. The filing followed prior funding rounds, including a $160 million Series B and a subsequent $106 million raise that valued the company at $2.6 billion.

Founded in 2024 by Nico Laqua and Emily Yuan, Corgi operates an insurance program for small fleets, offering coverage including auto liability, motor truck cargo, physical damage, and general liability. Coverager reports that Trucker Path Insurance serves as agent of record.

The company also targets sports-related risks, working with organizations including USA Fencing, and says it offers more than 20 commercial insurance lines through its platform, according to the filing described by Coverager.
