GTA 6 leaker sells memecoin stake before Rockstar gameplay reveal
Onchain data cited by CoinDesk shows the token creator dumped about $125,000 worth of SOL tokens into wrapped SOL and cut the memecoin’s market cap from roughly $25 million to about $7 million in a day.
CoinDesk reports that the anonymous GTA 6 gameplay leaker who created a Solana memecoin called $CYBERLEEK cashed out a large portion of his token holdings hours before Rockstar’s first official gameplay reveal.
According to onchain data cited by the outlet, the contract owner claimed roughly $146,000 in wrapped SOL plus 15.4 million tokens in creator fees, then sold the tokens for about $125,000 in SOL in a single transaction. $CYBERLEEK is down about 46% over the past 24 hours to near $0.0097, shrinking its market cap to roughly $7 million from a $25 million peak on Aug. 23.
CoinDesk also says Take-Two has subpoenaed X, Microsoft, and Discord to identify the leaker, and that a funding trail reportedly links to a KYC-verified KuCoin account. The report adds that proceeds were split across four fresh wallets, with at least 91 SOL routed to KuCoin.
The outlet notes the leaked GTA 6 footage was watermarked with $CYBERLEEK and the message about “higher market cap = more leeks,” and that the cash-out came from trading-volume-based fees rather than the creator’s initial allocation, which was reportedly burned last week. Independent blockchain analysis cited by CoinDesk has not been confirmed by the leaker or any exchange.
