Battleface raises about $1.25 million for travel insurance
The Columbus, Ohio-based travel insurance MGA is seeking up to $3.5 million and has pulled $49 million through prior seed, Series A, and Series B rounds.
Travel insurance MGA Battleface has raised nearly $1.25 million through an equity offering, according to a regulatory filing. The offering seeks up to $3.5 million and has raised $1,249,985 from four investors since the first sale on August 7, with the company saying the raise is not tied to a merger or acquisition.
Battleface, founded in 2017 and based in Columbus, Ohio, provides travel insurance to consumers and through distribution partners. Prior to the latest raise, it disclosed $49 million across three rounds, including a $2 million seed round in 2019, a $12 million Series A in 2020 and a $35 million Series B in 2024.
The company also runs Robin Assist, a claims handling and travel assistance platform launched in 2023. Robin Assist provides 24/7 medical, travel and security assistance, claims administration, telemedicine and immediate payments in more than 140 currencies, and it operates across more than 185 countries, with customers including Convex, Crum and Forster, Lloyd’s, MS Amlin, Hamilton, Canopius, Everest and Travel Insured International.
