OPEN Impact secures 15-year Brooklyn school lease for Launch Charter

The deal covers about 77,000 square feet and will relocate Launch High School in July 2027 after campus improvements.

OPEN Impact Real Estate has arranged a 15-year lease totaling approximately 77,000 square feet at 5902 Sixth Ave. in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood for Launch Expeditionary Learning Charter School, according to ConnectCRE.

The lease will secure a purpose-built educational campus for Launch High School. The transaction includes a 60,728-square-foot school building and shared access to a 16,000-square-foot, regulation-size gymnasium on the campus owned by the Redemptorist Fathers of New York.

Launch High School is set to relocate to the property in July 2027. The improvements will modernize the facility while preserving its longstanding educational use, with the building previously occupied by Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Academy.

OPEN’s Jake Cinti and Eshaan Gandhi represented Launch Expeditionary Learning Charter School, while the Redemptorist Fathers of New York were represented by Cushman & Wakefield’s Frank Liantonio, Jason Kroger, Jonathan Squires, Josh Neustadter and Austin Weiner.
