Simplicity acquires Wright Wealth to expand in the Midwest

The deal is aimed at growing Simplicity’s coverage in Illinois and surrounding Midwest markets, with founder Eric Wright joining as a partner.

Simplicity Group has acquired Wright Wealth, an estate and protection planning firm based in Geneva, Illinois, with a focus on clients in Illinois and across the Midwest, according to Coverager.

Wright Wealth offers estate planning, life insurance, annuities, long-term care, and wealth protection services. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founder Eric Wright will join Simplicity as a partner and will be part of its National Accounts team, as the buyer looks to broaden its presence in the Chicago area.

The acquisition also follows Wright Wealth’s connection to Velten & Associates, a family-owned practice focused on retirement planning and wealth management for individuals and couples.
