Stellar RWA supply tops $3 billion as DeFi TVL lags
RedStone attributes the shift to 24/7 oracle pricing feeds, and it says Stellar now has 55 SEP-40 feeds tied to tokenized treasuries and other assets.
Tokenized real-world assets on the Stellar network surpassed $3 billion in July, while DeFi markets tracked on Stellar were much smaller, according to a report published by oracle provider RedStone and covered by The Defiant.
RedStone estimates Stellar RWA supply at about $785 million in January, rising to more than $3 billion in July, compared with DeFi total value locked of $213 million. The report highlights that issuance is outpacing the lending markets and collateral pools needed to make RWAs usable onchain.
Among the DeFi lending ecosystem, RedStone points to Blend, which it estimates at $127 million total, with just over $2 million in pools that accept RWAs as collateral. DefiLlama figures for the same snapshots were $232.72 million total value locked on Stellar and $150.03 million for Blend, which the outlet says lands close to RedStone's measurements.
RedStone links the growth to four RWA-related products, including Amundi and Spiko Overnight Swap Fund at $713 million, Spiko's T-Bill fund at $536 million, Ondo's USDY at more than $533 million, and VuMe Bond 2030 at $500 million. The report also argues that pricing mechanics matter, citing 24/7 oracle feeds, Stellar's adoption of the SEP-40 oracle standard in June, and RedStone's note that DTCC-custodied assets are expected to move to Stellar in 2027, with DTCC assets under custody cited at $114 trillion. XLM traded at $0.1835 on Friday, down 0.9% over 24 hours, with a market capitalization of $6.36 billion, according to CoinGecko.
