Nationwide files trademarks for pet insurance taglines
The trademark applications were filed Aug. 21, 2026, and the new pet insurance offering could expand coverage into drone use cases.
Nationwide has filed trademark applications tied to its pet insurance business, seeking protection for “Always There Pet Care” and “Best. Pet Insurance. Ever.” in connection with pet insurance underwriting, issuance, and administration, according to Coverager.
The filings were submitted on Aug. 21, 2026, and are still pending assignment to an examining attorney, the outlet reported.
Nationwide’s pet insurance plans also include a new offering that combines property, liability, and aerial application coverage for drones used in activities such as crop monitoring, mapping, aerial imaging, spraying, and seeding.
Coverager added that Nationwide is one of the largest pet insurers in the U.S., with more than 1 million insured pets, and that MassMutual will continue administering the policies and remain the point of contact for policyholders.
