Kalshi becomes exclusive prediction partner of the US Open
The USTA is reportedly barring rival prediction platforms from advertising at the venue and on ESPN broadcasts for this year’s tournament, with the deal taking effect immediately after qualifying.
Kalshi has become the US Open’s exclusive prediction market platform partner in a deal finalized just before the tournament’s main draw began, according to The Block, citing Front Office Sports and two sources familiar with the agreement.
The report says the arrangement goes into effect immediately and was not formally finalized until after the US Open’s qualifying rounds concluded last week. It also adds that the USTA is reportedly preventing other prediction market platforms from advertising at the tournament venue and on television, including across ESPN’s US Open broadcasts.
The Block reports that the deal’s financial terms were not disclosed. Kalshi was not listed among the US Open’s official partners as of Sunday afternoon, and the company included a disclaimer earlier that it was not affiliated with the US Open or WTA.
The Block also notes that Kalshi has faced a setback in its legal battle over whether states can regulate its sports-related event contracts. Kalshi declined to comment to Front Office Sports.
