Insureon partners with LIO Insurance to expand specialty coverage access
The collaboration starts with a digital pathway for special event coverage and is designed to add more specialty insurance classes over time.
Insureon has partnered with specialty commercial property and casualty carrier LIO Insurance to expand Insureon’s ability to connect small business owners with coverage for niche risks, according to Coverager.
The initial collaboration includes a digital pathway for special event coverage, with opportunities to expand to additional specialty classes over time. Insureon said the partnership aligns LIO’s specialty underwriting expertise with Insureon’s digital capabilities, aiming to make it easier for small businesses to find and purchase the coverage they need.
Coverager also noted that two years after shutting down its B2B portal, CoverWallet is winding down its CoverWallet for Agents platform. Hub will acquire the Insureon digital insurance agency and brand, while Bold Penguin will acquire the Insureon technology platform.
Coverager added that, according to Crunchbase, Insureon secured more than $77 million in March from unnamed investors.
