U.S. LNG exports averaged 23% more in the first half of 2026
EIA forecasts U.S. LNG exports to average 17.3 Bcf/d in the second half of 2026 before rising to 18.7 Bcf/d in 1H27.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration said U.S. liquefied natural gas exports averaged 17.4 billion cubic feet per day (Bcf/d) in the first six months of 2026, up 23% from the same period in 2025, according to its Natural Gas Monthly.
In its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, the EIA projected that LNG exports will average 17.3 Bcf/d in the second half of 2026.
The agency also forecast an increase to 18.7 Bcf/d in 1H27, citing higher export capacity as part of the upward trend.
