Arbitrum token ARB jumps after Robinhood Chain fees double
Robinhood Chain collected $2.13 million in chain fees over 24 hours, implying Arbitrum owes roughly $192,000 a day under its 10% licensing cut.
Arbitrum’s ARB rose more than 25% through the Asian and European sessions and held the gain into the U.S. open, making it the biggest mover among major non-stablecoin tokens, as chain fees on Robinhood Chain reportedly doubled from Monday.
According to The Defiant, ARB holders earn a fixed share of Arbitrum network revenue tied to deployments running outside Arbitrum One and Nova. Under Arbitrum’s licensing terms, those chains must pay 10% of net protocol revenue, and Tuesday’s figures suggest the obligation is running at about $192,000 per day at Monday’s revenue rate.
The outlet cited DefiLlama data showing Robinhood Chain generated $2.13 million in chain fees and $1.92 million in chain revenue over 24 hours, compared with $963,612 in gas fees on Monday. It also said applications on the chain added about $3 million and that Arbitrum’s own network produced $12,152 in chain fees during the same period.
In the broader crypto market, The Defiant reported Bitcoin was down 0.7% on the day to $77,787, while Ether fell 0.9% to $2,437. Total crypto market value was $2.72 trillion, up 0.2% over 24 hours, with $78.4 billion in volume and bitcoin dominance at 57.9%, according to CoinGecko.
