Costco ends Costco Next access, citing inactive store fronts
Costco Next store fronts are no longer available, and members are directed to contact only vendors listed for active return policies and warranty inquiries.
Costco has shut down access to its Costco Next digital marketplace store fronts, according to details shared on the company website. The notice tells members to refer to a list of vendors with active return policies and to contact those vendors directly for eligible returns and warranty inquiries.
The Costco Next program, while available since 2017 and described as a curated marketplace for items not typically stocked in warehouses, was not widely promoted by the company. A third party marketplace model, it lets members access expanded selections that are shipped directly from partner suppliers.
The company previously said Costco Next was growing, with CFO Gary Millerchip commenting that in Q3 fiscal 2025, sales on Costco Next equaled the total sales for all of fiscal year 2022. Costco also described the platform as focused on a curated selection from hand selected suppliers, aiming to extend merchandise variety beyond standard warehouse inventory.
