Builders Insurance Group elects David Jasmund as board chair

Jasmund replaces Charles Potok, who retired after serving 13 years on the board, including the past three as chair.

Builders Insurance Group has elected David Jasmund as chair of its board of directors, succeeding Charles “Charley” Potok, who retired after 13 years on the board, including the past three years as chair, according to Insurance Business.

Jasmund has served on the Builders board since 2009, chairing its audit committee and sitting on its management development and compensation and corporate governance committees. The outlet also notes he founded PCE Investment Bankers and previously helped build an insurance organization from three employees to more than 1,200 and over $700 million in annual revenue.

The leadership changes outlined by Insurance Business also include Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Group naming Sharon Duez Shaw vice president and head of claims as part of a planned transition from Peter Lambert.

Lambert is set to retire effective March 31, 2027, and Insurance Business says Shaw and Lambert will work together over the next six months to support a smooth handoff.
