Root and Carvana extend embedded insurance partnership to August 2028
The renewal keeps Root coverage available through the Jerry app as the partners said they have sold more than 200,000 policies since launching the program.
Root Insurance has extended its embedded partnership with Carvana to at least August 2028, according to Coverager. The companies said the program surpassed 200,000 policies sold in less than four years, as they renew efforts to offer shoppers a streamlined way to get coverage.
In comments carried by Coverager, Root CEO Alex Timm said the program delivers “easy, simple insurance” that matches what customers want, and called it a way to improve the car buying experience. Root also said users can receive insurance quotes and buy coverage from Root without leaving the Jerry app.
Coverager also reported that Root generated net income of $25 million during the quarter, up 15% year over year. The extension sets the timeline for the embedded insurance program through August 2028.
