Becknell Industrial adds Russ Greenwald to expand REIT sales push
The firm named Greenwald director of strategic partnerships and also filled debt capital markets and investments roles for its private perpetual industrial income REIT.
Chicago-based Becknell Industrial has appointed Russ A. Greenwald as director of strategic partnerships, tasking him with expanding the firm’s selling group for Becknell Industrial Income Trust Inc., according to a press release carried by Bisnow. Greenwald joined Becknell’s sales team marketing shares of the retail REIT to accredited investors.
Greenwald previously spent more than a decade at LaSalle Investment Management, where he helped build its selling group for JLL Income Property Trust. Before that, he held senior roles at Mesirow Financial, Guggenheim Investments, and Allstate Financial.
Becknell also named Eric Schilling as vice president of debt capital markets and Josie Peacock as director of investments and capital markets. The company launched its private, perpetual life industrial income REIT in February, targeting an estimated $10 million in gross offering proceeds over the first 12 months and a minimum investment of $25,000, based on an SEC filing.
Becknell tied demand for industrial real estate to e-commerce and reshored manufacturing. It cited CREDA data that U.S. companies are expected to absorb more than 150 million square feet of distribution and warehouse space in the second half of 2026 and an additional 245 million square feet next year, despite higher interest rates.
