Wyoming adopts Chainlink Proof of Reserve for its Frontier stablecoin
Wyoming said FRNT total supply is about 967,948 tokens, while outstanding supply is roughly 0.2% of the 508.7 million tokens projected to lawmakers, with 24-hour volume of $160 all traded on Kraken.
Wyoming's Stable Token Commission adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve as the exclusive onchain verification layer for the Frontier Stable Token, or FRNT, on Sept. 2, with reserve and supply balances published in an onchain feed readable by users.
The commission, according to CoinGecko data cited in the story, has about 967,947.92 FRNT total supply at a quoted price of $0.99884, compared with a 508.7 million token base-case projection it shared with state lawmakers in a December budget-session factbook.
The story also notes the commission previously projected $19.1 million in gross reserve revenue for fiscal 2027, and that current outstanding supply is about 0.2% of the token figure projected in that base case.
While Wyoming already publishes daily attestations on its website, the change shifts how the verification data is delivered onchain, and it said Proof of Reserve Secure Mint, which blocks minting unless reserves cover total supply, is in the process of being adopted.
