Inspector general finds misuse of Labor Department funds and harassment tolerance
The Labor Department’s inspector general concluded that agency funds were used for personal travel and that harassment was tolerated.
The New York Times reports that the Labor Department’s inspector general found dysfunction and toxicity within the agency, tied in part to former Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer.
According to the report, the inspector general said Chavez-DeRemer spent Labor Department funds on personal travel.
The outlet also reports that the inspector general found Chavez-DeRemer tolerated harassment within the agency.
