Jessica Ciak joins Guy Carpenter to lead U.S. medical liability work

Ciak, who has more than 25 years of reinsurance experience, moves from BMS Group to Guy Carpenter’s healthcare team as a senior vice president.

Guy Carpenter hired Jessica Ciak as a senior vice president on its healthcare segment, where she will focus on the U.S. medical professional liability sector, according to Insurance Journal.

Ciak is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and reports to Martha Jacobs, Guy Carpenter’s healthcare segment leader. She joins from BMS Group, where she most recently served as a senior vice president, and she brings more than 25 years of reinsurance experience, including treaty placements tied to specialty lines such as medical professional liability.

Insurance Journal also said CRC Group hired four professionals across underwriting and brokerage teams nationwide. Hart Slade joined CRC Specialty as an underwriting team leader in Sumter, South Carolina, and Brian Stephens joined as a broker in Austin, Texas.

The outlet added that Tyler Fuchs joined CRC Specialty as an underwriting team lead in Charleston, South Carolina, and Alyssa Scher joined CRC Group as a senior associate underwriting team leader in Tampa, Florida.
