AXA expands governed AI hub across five global entities
The insurer says its vendor-agnostic hub, built with Publicis Sapient, embeds governance, cost management, AI safety monitoring, and compliance oversight across the AI lifecycle.
Insurance Business reports AXA is scaling a governed AI infrastructure layer across its global operations through a partnership with Publicis Sapient.
The program centers on AXA's Global AI Hub for deploying and governing AI agents, with AXA delivering its first platform version in July and saying it is already running across five entities.
AXA XL is among the units using the hub, and the infrastructure is also supporting applications under development in Germany, France, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, including motor claims automation and customer email processing.
The hub is described as vendor-agnostic, supporting multiple large language models so AXA can switch or combine models as technology evolves, and it builds governance, compliance, and human oversight into the architecture from the start. AXA also says the hub embeds FinOps cost management, SafetyOps AI safety monitoring, and compliance oversight throughout the AI lifecycle, citing existing UK regulatory frameworks rather than introducing AI-specific rules.
