26 North signs 84,000 sq ft lease at LeFrak’s 40 W 57th St
The deal spans 11.5 years, and 26 North will take four full floors after moving from 600 Madison Avenue.
Alternative investment management firm 26 North is relocating its New York City offices to LeFrak’s Midtown tower at 40 West 57th Street, Commercial Observer reports. The firm has signed an 84,000-square-foot lease at the 36-story property, where it will occupy four full floors.
According to the report, the lease runs for 11.5 years and marks 26 North’s move from its current space at 600 Madison Avenue. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The building is also seeing other tenant activity, with Mack Real Estate Group taking 20,750 square feet on part of the building’s 17th floor. The space had previously been built out for A&E Real Estate, which is relocating within the property.
CBRE said 40 West 57th Street continues to attract tenants due to LeFrak’s stable ownership and ongoing capital improvements. The Class A office property spans more than 160,000 square feet, with amenities including an outdoor terrace and wellness center, and a gym expected to be delivered in 2027.
