About 600 BTC remains after liquid hack, about 3,400 returned

A crypto “liquid hack” involving a sidechain remains partially unresolved, after hackers returned some of the BTC they had drained, according to Decrypt.

Decrypt reports the actors returned about 3,400 BTC out of roughly 4,000 BTC that were initially taken from the sidechain, but around 600 BTC still has not been accounted for.

The outlet also notes there is skepticism around the hackers’ claim that they acted as “white hats,” suggesting doubts about the authenticity of the motive.
