Acrisure UK partners with ESET to broaden cyber risk offerings
Acrisure UK said it will combine ESET cybersecurity capabilities with access to specialist cyber insurance support, linking prevention and resilience with underwriting support.
Acrisure UK announced a partnership with cybersecurity provider ESET to give clients access to a wider set of cybersecurity solutions, aiming to strengthen organizations’ cyber risk management. The firm said good cybersecurity and effective cyber insurance should work together as cyber risk increasingly gets treated as a business issue rather than only an IT concern.
In its announcement, Acrisure UK positioned the ESET platform around threat prevention, detection, and response, and framed the effort as a blend of technical defences and specialist insurance support. The company said cyber threats are evolving quickly and that businesses increasingly need a broader risk management strategy, not just technology.
Acrisure UK also described its role in cyber insurance through ownership of 13 U.S. MGAs, which collectively underwrite more than $1 billion in premium. The company added that it cites advances in technology, AI, and digital platforms among reasons for layoffs.
The partnership includes commentary from Acrisure UK’s Tim Wiltshire and ESET UK’s Steven Connolly, both of whom highlighted the need to pair prevention and resilience with specialist cyber insurance expertise as organizations face growing exposure to cyberattacks.
