L.K. Comstock signs 13,566-sf lease at Dumbo Heights in Brooklyn
The tenant will use space on the third and eighth floors as a field office while it works on a nearby infrastructure project.
L.K. Comstock, a specialty electrical contractor focused on transit rail systems, has signed a 13,566-square-foot lease at 55 Prospect Street in Brooklyn’s Dumbo Heights campus, Commercial Observer reports.
The article says the lease term and asking rent were not disclosed, but it notes that average asking rent for office space in Dumbo was $53 per square foot as of May, citing The New York Times.
L.K. Comstock will occupy space on the third and eighth floors of the interconnected Dumbo Heights buildings owned by a joint venture of RFR and Kushner Companies. The firm’s new location will serve as a field office while it works on a nearby infrastructure project, and the landlord cited its proximity to subway lines and move-in-ready spaces.
Dumbo Heights is described as a 750,000-square-foot development between the Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge, with office space plus dining and retail. Other tenants mentioned include ETC Companies and Futerra, both of which signed deals there in February.
