XRPL AI Hub logs nearly 4.5M transactions but settles only thousands
XRPL AI Hub data tracked by t54 Labs shows 4,491,820 all-time transactions with cumulative settlements of 5,836.71 XRP and 4,125.29 RLUSD, illustrating why transaction counts do not necessarily translate into XRP demand.
An AI-payment hub on the XRP Ledger recorded nearly 4.5 million transactions but settled only a few thousand XRP, highlighting a gap between payment activity and token demand, according to CryptoSlate.
Near press time, the XRPL AI Hub dashboard run by t54 Labs showed 4,491,820 all-time transactions and cumulative settlements of 5,836.71 XRP and 4,125.29 RLUSD, Ripple’s dollar stablecoin. CryptoSlate cautioned the figures cover the hub’s tracked activity, not all payments on the ledger, and said the hub’s activity points to frequent service processing rather than sustained buying and holding of XRP.
CryptoSlate noted Ripple introduced its XRPL AI Starter Kit on June 9, enabling software agents to use x402 payments for tasks like API calls and AI inference. Agents can pay in XRP or RLUSD, which can support frequent tiny payments without each service requiring a meaningful amount of XRP purchase.
The outlet said the hub’s counters alone cannot serve as a valuation ratio for XRP. It also pointed to XRPL fee mechanics, where the standard minimum fee is 10 drops and fees are destroyed rather than distributed, while the more relevant signals for demand are how much XRP actually settles and whether usage produces sustained token demand.
