BHSI promotes Katharina Rütz to lead Executive & Professional Lines
The promotion keeps Rütz based in Cologne, where she will work alongside Dr. Carsten Keune for executive and professional lines across the Germany, DACH region.
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance, the commercial insurance arm of Berkshire Hathaway, has promoted Katharina Rütz to Head of Executive & Professional Lines in Germany, according to Reinsurance News.
Rütz will remain based in Cologne and work with Dr. Carsten Keune, Head of Executive & Professional Lines, DACH at BHSI. She joined BHSI in 2021 and has more than 13 years of experience in the German insurance market.
Before this role, Rütz led Commercial Lines for E&P in Germany and served as a Senior Underwriter for Directors & Officers coverage at BHSI. Previously, she worked as a Senior Underwriter for D&O at Liberty Specialty Markets and held roles at CNA Hardy and Gothaer.
BHSI also said the leadership change is intended to support growth in its Executive & Professional Lines business in Germany, with Andreas Krause, Head of DACH at BHSI, citing her role in that expansion.
