Church insurance agency KingsCover rebrands as Dominion First

The agency said it has saved clients more than $3 million since launching on Nov. 1, 2025, and now serves over 400 church and ministry clients across 16 states.

KingsCover Insurances, a specialty agency serving churches and ministries, has rebranded as Dominion First Insurance Services LLC, with the company saying the change is tied to the name only.

According to Insurance Business, ownership, leadership, staffing, and existing client policies will remain unaffected, and the same team will continue managing the agency's book of business. Dominion First also retained its role as the Agency Partner of Texas Baptists and as a premier partner in the KingsCover Underwriters program, a Risk Theory company.

The agency said the premier partner designation helps translate into pricing, terms, and claims-handling advantages for the church and ministry niche. It also reported that since launching under the new operation on Nov. 1, 2025, it delivered more than $3 million in estimated premium savings to clients, grew to more than 400 clients, and expanded licensing across 16 states.

Dominion First operates exclusively in church and ministry insurance, offering property and general liability, specialty lines including crime, kidnap and ransom, employment practices liability, directors and officers, and abuse and molestation coverage, as well as employee benefits liability, workers' compensation, hired and non-owned auto, cyber liability, excess coverage, and mission travel protection. Insurance Business also notes the program was originally created by the Baptist General Convention of Texas in partnership with Risk Theory to improve access to affordable, A-rated coverage amid rising premiums and a shrinking appetite for ministry risk.
