Insurance firms announce leadership changes across brokerage and underwriting

The appointments include a new Corgi executive focused on retail and ETF brand reach, plus board and CEO changes at Pan-American Life and Third Wave.

Several insurance organizations announced leadership changes spanning brokerage, specialty underwriting, claims, reinsurance and board governance, according to Insurance Business.

Corgi named Erin Gambrel vice president of financial services, charging her with driving retail investor growth and brand reach for the company’s ETF lineup. Gambrel previously oversaw retail trading campaigns that reached more than 20 million retail investors at Investing Authority, and the company said the hire is intended to multiply on Corgi’s existing ETF and retail investment momentum rather than affect its insurance underwriting business.

Pan-American Life Insurance Group appointed John Price to its board of directors effective November 2026, with a seat on the Finance and Audit Committees. Price is the founder of Americas Market Intelligence and has completed more than 5,000 client engagements, and the change is positioned as signaling ongoing strategic attention to the insurer’s Latin America and Caribbean expansion.

Third Wave Insurance named Paul Vredenburg chief executive officer, with founder Brian Bair transitioning to president while continuing to lead the company’s insurance operations. Vredenburg brings more than 14 years at AssuredPartners, including serving as president and chief operating officer, and Insurance Business said his background in acquisitions suggests a more structured, repeatable deal process as Third Wave continues acquiring.
