Marsh launches Unity D&O facility for European firms

The pan-European directors and officers facility provides up to €15 million in primary capacity, supported by six A-rated insurers.

Marsh has launched Unity D&O, a new European directors and officers insurance facility for private and public organisations with revenues up to €1 billion, the firm said in a release.

The facility is initially available in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. Unity D&O is designed to address uncertainty created by fragmented market capacity and differences in local policy wording across jurisdictions, and it is supported by a panel of six competing A-rated insurers.

Clients can access up to €15 million in primary capacity, with supplementary capacity available through an access insurance market arrangement. The solution includes harmonised pan-European policy wording, with local underwriting and claims support.

Marsh said the product was developed amid rising regulatory scrutiny, enforcement activity, and increasingly complex corporate transactions in Europe, and it uses Marsh’s proprietary D&O wording. The coverage also offers optional extensions for employment practices liability, crime and private equity, and it complements Marsh’s broader European financial and professional lines facilities.
